We've recently completed our groundworks package, valued over £5m, at Highlight Leisure Centre for Wates and Hartlepool Council. The scheme includes three pools, a gym, fitness studios, soft play and café facilities set within a stunning marina location. Our package covered foundations, drainage, pool tank construction and externals, all delivered within an active waterside environment with no onsite water disposal.

From agriculture
to civil engineering.
Hewitson Limited is a family business led by Michael Hewitson, with nearly 40 years’ experience. The company provides specialist civil engineering, drainage, concrete foundations and RC structures predominantly in the North East of England.
We are a family run business that has progressed from an Agricultural background. The Company now employs over 125 individuals of various trades and professions. We pride ourselves on having a low turnover of staff, and promotion within the company is encouraged wherever possible. A 'hands on' approach is adopted from senior management level and below.
Our aim is to provide long term permanent employment for our locally sourced workforce. A large percentage of our workload is obtained through repeat business, a testament to the high level of service our clients have come to expect.
